Madeleine"s disappearance
by Claudia Sonea

The girl that disappeared a hundred days ago, on May 3, is still missing and there are no clues of her whereabouts. Recently, "Jornal de Noticias", one of the top-selling daily newspapers published a report in which appeared the information that British sniffer dogs had detected traces of blood on a wall in the hotel room in Praia da Luz in Portugal's Algarve region. However, police has refused to comment and did not deny or confirm the rumors. Portuguese media have received information from a person close to the investigation that a British laboratory was analyzing blood samples. Also the theory of Madeleine's death in an accident or murdered was brought forward. Gerry and Kate MacCann refuse to believe such theories and say that Portuguese police did not stated even once that their daughter might be dead. Chief inspector Olegario Sousa, a Portuguese police spokesman, in a statement to Lusa news agency said that the parents are not suspects and a lot of people will be interrogated in the following days. Until now the only suspect is the 33-year-old British national Robert Murat. David Hughes, the family spokesman, told reporters that the couple met with Portuguese police in the southern fishing port city of Portimao to discuss about how the investigation is going. They both regret very much that they left their children unsupervised. Although they checked on them every half-hour, they could have hired a babysitter because the resort had a babysitting service. In one of Europe's top tourist destinations happened the tragedy and despite the fact that police is still searching the chances for her to be alive are very little, because there are 100 days already since she went missing. Let's hope she is alright and say a pray for her and for her parents.
