Da se bide bez semejstvo i negovata pomoš i poddrška e verojatno najlošoto nešto što nekogaš možev da go zamislam. Samo ednostavnata ideja deka treba da bidat oddelen od niv i da otplovam vo stranska ili nepoznata zemja, me preplašuva do smrt. A, imam 24 godini. Zamislete da ste 3 ili 4-godišno momče ili devojče, da vi kažat deka nemate semejstvo, deka ste sirače i tokmu zaradi toa kje bidete isprateni vo mesto što nikogaš ne ste go videle, noe koe kje vi garantira podobar život i idinina. Čovečkata imaginacija može da gi sozdade najubavite sliki, a detskata e ušte pokreativn! a. No togaš, koga ne se slučuvaat čuda, vie ste izgubeni i osameni. Koga britanskata vlada preveze siromašni britanski deca vo koloniite, povekjeto od lugjeto pomislija deka toa e dobar izbor za sekogo. Byť bez rodiny, ich pomoci a podpory je pravdepodobne tá najhoršia vec, akú si viem predstaviť. Len jednoduchá myšlienka, že by som mala byť odlúčená od rodiny a poslaná do cudzej a neznámej krajiny ma desí k smrti. A to mi je 24! Predstavte si, že ste 3 – 4-ročné dieťa, ktorému povedali, že nemá žiadnu rodinu ani príbuzných, že je to sirota, čo je aj dôvod prečo vás posielajú na miesto, ktoré ste v živote nevideli, no ktoré vám garantuje lepší život a budúcnosť. Ľud! ská predstavivosť je schopná vytvoriť tie najkrajšie obrázky, no tá detská je ešte o niečo kreatívnejšia. Tak si viete predstaviť to sklamanie, keď sa po rečiach plných sľubov tieto sľubované zázraky nekonali, a vy – malé dieťa ste zostali stratení a osamelí. Keď britská vláda posielala chudobné britské deti do svojich kolónií, väčšina si myslela, že je to dobré pre každého. Teraz, keď už vieme pravdu o tom, čo deti v Austrálii, Kanade a ostatných britských kolóniách čakalo, môžeme prehlásiť, že to bolo čokoľvek, len nie šťastný život. Medzi rokmi 1618 a 1967 bolo 150,000 britských detí prepravených do zahraničia, pričom väčšina detí i#! 3;la do Austrálie cez rôzne programy vedené vl&! #225;dou , cirkevnými skupinami či detskou charitou. Množstvo detí bolo odobratých slobodným matkám či zbedačeným rodinám a boli poslané za more ako migranti. Britská vláda spočiatku naozaj verila, že robí dobrí skutok, a tak pomáha deťom k lepšej budúcnosti, no v skutočnosti robila pravý opak. Množstvo detí skončilo v rôznych výchovných inštitúciách a ústavoch, kde boli fyzicky aj sexuálne zneužívané, a v lepšom prípade skončili ako lacná pracovná sila na farmách. Štyridsať rokov potom, ako bol tento program ukončený hovorí Británia a Austrália „prepáčte“. A hoci slová nedokážu zmeniť históriu, toto symbolické ospravedlnenie bolo viac ako potrebné...

Being without family and their help and support is probably the worst thing I could ever imagine. Just the simple idea I should have been separated from them and shipped off to the foreign and unknown country scares me to death. And I am 24 years old now. Image you are about 3 – 4-year old boy or a girl, you are told you have no family, that you are an orphan and that is the reason why you are going to be sent to a place you have never seen, but which will guarantee you better life and future. Human imagination is able to create the most beautiful pictures, and that children’s one is even more creative. But then, when no miracles are happening, you are lost and ! lonely. When the British government was shipping off poor British children to the colonies, most of the people thought it is a good choice for everyone. Now, when we see clearly what was waiting for children in Australia, Canada and other colonies, we can declare it was everything else than happy life. Between 1618 and 1967 there have been 150,000 British children shipped abroad, most of the children went to Australia through various programs run by the government, religious groups or children’s charities. Many children were taken from unmarried mothers and impoverished families and were sent alone as migrants. British government believed they were doing their best to improve children’s life; actually they did the exact opposite. Many of them ended up in institutions where they were physically and sexually abused, or under the best of conditions they were sent to work as farm laborers. Forty years after the program was stopped Britain and Australia are saying &#! 8220;Sorry”. Even though we cannot change history, this ! symbolic al apology was more than necessary.

La Grande-Bretagne est réputée pour beaucoup de choses comme le plus vieux système parlementaire du monde, la Révolution Industrielle, la monarchie, mais ce qui éclate est la mentalité des gens qui ont de hauts égards envers les conventions et du sexisme profondément inculqué. Les femmes ont été traitées comme les êtres inférieurs depuis longtemps par les hommes britanniques qui avait des clubs réputés dans lesquels seulement les hommes ont été permis d'entrer et malgré le fait d'avoir la Reine pour le souverain, les femmes n'avaient aucun droit ni à l'éducation, ni ! 4; occuper une position dans l'administration politique ou les droits de propriété. Vous croiriez qu'après le mouvement féministe au 19ème siècle les choses se sont améliorées et vous ne vous trompez pas complètement puisque de nos jours les femmes ont presque les mêmes droits que les hommes. En dépit du fait qu'elles sont capables de prendre n'importe quel emploi aussi longtemps qu'elles le font, et qu'elles ont en plus l'éducation nécessaire, les femmes sont pauvrement représentées dans quelques sociétés comme la Chambre des communes de la Grande-Bretagne ou aux Salles du conseil et même dans la Force Royale. Ce n'est que récemment que les postes exclusivement masculins de la Tour de Londres ont été brisés par substitution d'une première femme chez les gardiens de la Tour de Londres, Moira Cameron. Après! avoir servir dans le Corps Militaire Royal Féminin penda! nt 22 an s, Moira Cameron avait le privilège d'être élue de rejoindre le Corps de Gardiens Yeoman à la Tour. L'histoire n'a pas pourtant de fin heureuse comme ses collègues avaient des temps difficiles de l'accepter et ont commencé une campagne de terreur, en la importunant avec les notes honteuses laissées dans son casier et en tripotant son uniforme. Il y avait aussi une campagne de dénigrement par Internet, ce qui prouve que l'homme britannique n'est pas encore disposé à donner aux femmes les crédits de leurs travaux, ni droits d'égalité qui ont été gagnés après une longue lutte à travers les siècles. Selon le communiqué officiel, il y a une enquête en cours à propos les incidents, mais personne ne semble être vraiment dérangée par ce qui s'est passé et la réaction publique n'est pas aussi indignée comme elle devrait être, mais plutô! t indifférente. Enfin, même si les femmes pouvaient sauver la Terre du Jugement dernier elles seraient toujours considérées d'être inférieures à la rasse mâle. Une société révolutionnée avec des conventions enfoncées, le comportement et la mentalité raciste et existe ne sont qu'une sorte de caractére paradoxe de l'humanité.

Bi mislele deka posle feminističkoto dvi&#! 382;enje od 19.vek, rabotite se promenija na podobro i ne bi grešele celpsno ako kažete deka deneska ženite gi imaat rečisi istite prava kako i mažite. Namesto da se sposobni da go dobijat koe bilo rabotno mesto dokolku go imaat soodvetnoto obrazovanie, ženite se siromašno pretstaveni vo nekoi oblasti, kako vo britanskata Kukja na narodot ili salite za sostanoci i duri i vo Kralskoto vozduhoplovstvo. Marea Britanie este renumita pentru multe lucruri, cum ar fi cel mai vechi sistem parlamentar din lume, Revolutia Industriala, monarhia, dar cea ce uimeste este mentalitatea oamenilor care au mare respect pentru conventi si un misoginism adanc inradacinat. Femeile au fost tratate ca fiinte inferioare pentru o lunga perioada de timp de catre sexul masculin britanic care au infiintat reputate cluburi rezervate doar barbatilor si in ciuda faptului ca aveau ca suverana o regina, femeile nu aveau dreptul la educatie, sa ocupe o pozitie in administratia politica sau dreptul la proprietate. Ati crede ca dupa miscarea feminista d! in secolul al 19-lea lucrurile s-au schimbat in bine si nu ar fi total gresit pentru ca in zilele noastre femeile au aproape aceleasi drepturi ca si barbatii. Chiard aca pot ocupa orice loc de munca atat timp cat au pregatirea necesara, femeile sunt slab reprezentate in anumite domenii cum ar fi Casa Comunelor a Marii Britani sau salile de consiliu si chiar in Armata Regala. Numai recent traditia garzilor exclusiv masculine din Turnul Londrei a fost intrerupta de catre aderarea primei femei Beefeaters, Moira Cameron. Dupa ce a slujit in Armata Regala timp de 22 de ani, Moira Cameron a avut privilegiul de a fi aleasa sa adere la Corpul gardienilor Yeoman din Turn. Povestea aceasta nu are insa un final fericit deoarece colegiilor ei le-a fost extrem de dificil sa o accepte si au inceput o campanie de teroare, hartuind-o cu note rusinoase lasate in dulapul ei de la vestiare si batjocurirea uniformei ei. A mai avut loc si o campanie de denigrare prin ! intermediul internetului, ceea ce demonstreaza ca sexul mascul! in brita nic nu e inca pregatit sa acorde femeilor laurii muncii lor si nici drepturile de egalitate care au fost dobandite dupa o lupta seculara. Potrivit declaratie oficiala, exista o ancheta in curs de desfasurare cu privire la incidente, dar nimeni nu pare a fi de fapt, deranjat de ceea ce s-a intamplat, iar reactia publica nu este de ultraj asa cum ar trebui sa fie, ci mai degraba indiferenta. La urma urmei, femeile pot salva si omenirea de la judecata de apoi si tot ar fi considerate ca fiind inferioare rasei masculine. O societate revolutionara blocata in conventii, cu un comportament rasist si o mentalitate misogina este doar un alt paradox caracteristic omenirii.

Sexism in the 21st century by Claudia Sonea

Britain is famous for many things such as the world's oldest parliamentary system, the Industrial Revolution, the monarchy, but what dazzles is the mentality of the people who have high regards for conventions and a deeply rooted sexism. Women were treated like inferior beings for a long time by British male who had the reputed clubs were only males were allowed and in spite of having as sovereign a Queen, women had no rights to education, to a occupy a position in the political administration or property rights. You would think that after the 19th century feminist movement things changed for the better and you would not be ! totally wrong as nowadays women have almost the same rights as men. In spite of being able to take any job as long as they have they have the proper education, women are poorly represented in some areas like n Britain’s House of Commons or boardrooms and even in the Royal Force. Only recently the all-male ranks of the Tower of London were broken by the joining of the first female Beefeaters, Moira Cameron. After serving in the Women’s Royal Army Corps for 22 years, Moira Cameron had the privilege of being elected to join the Body of Yeoman Warders at the Tower. The story however doesn’t have a happy end as her colleagues had a hard time accepting her and started a campaign of terror, harassing her with shameful notes left in her locker and tampering with her uniform. There was also a denigration campaign through the Internet, which proves that British male are not yet prepared to give women the credits of their works, nor the equa! lity rights that were gained after a long struggle across cent! uries. According to the official statement, there is an ongoing investigation regarding the incidents, but no one seems to be actually bothered by what happened and the public reaction is not that of outrage as it should be, but rather indifference. After all, women can even save Earth from the Doomsday and they would still be regarded as inferior to male race. A revolutionized society with a stuck in conventions, racist and sexist behaviour and mentality is just the kind of paradox characteristic to mankind.
